Jewellery Care

It is natural for plated jewellery to lose their colour over time due to the exposure to different chemicals. Here are some tips for longer lasting jewellery 💎 :

MATERIALS

All of our jewellery are made with the following materials: Gold Plated/Rhodium Plated Sterling Silver, Stainless Steel, Brass, Zinc, Copper and Cubic Zirconia. Our jewellery is nickel and lead free. All materials used for each design are listed under the description section of the product's page.

CLEANING

After every wear, clean your plated jewellery with a cotton ball or a soft jewellery cloth which will help to restore shine! Avoid using any polishing cloths, cleaners, soaps as chemicals used in these will strip away plating and discolour them. Be gentle when cleaning your plated jewellery, rub not buff! If you have gold fill items (not plated) and would like to further clean, use warm water and a very mild soap, soak for less than one minute, use a soft brush gently to clean away any dirt.

PROTECTING

Avoid swimming, showering, washing up and exercising in your plated jewels, Keeping them dry will prolong their life and keep them shining bright! Take off your jewellery at night before sleeping. Plating rubbing off and tarnishing naturally occurs with wear and tear, and is not considered a manufacturing fault.

HOW TO AVOID GREEN STAINING

Traces of copper will be found in Gold/Rose Gold plating as this contributes to the colouring of the metal. In some extreme cases of sensitive, highly acidic skin, you may experience some slight greening. The other main cause of oxidisation is chemicals found in hand creams. This is in fact a common trait in even the finest of jewellery.

If you are allergic or sensitive to metals or have had green tainting before then you are likely to experience the same reaction. Those that are sensitive to metals should not purchase copper/brass based jewellery and instead opt for our Stainless Steel jewellery.

Our 925 Sterling Silver Jewellery (all 925 Sterling Silver contains 92.5% sterling silver and 6.5% copper) which may be a better option for you if have had green tainting before.

We take no responsibility or liability for any reactions that may take place; It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure all precautions are taken as we are unable to know each individual's allergies and sensitivities ✨
